Help Remove Invasive Plant Species In Newark

Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 7:30a.m until 11:30a.m.

The City of Newark Department of Parks and Recreation is recruiting volunteers to help with a cutback of invasive plant species at the Curtis Paper Mill Site on Saturday, May 4, from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Please bring gloves and report to the site on Paper Mill Road, on the opposite side of the road from Timothy’s Restaurant on the White Clay Creek.  You will be working with Parks Superintendent, Tom Zaleski.  Your participation for all or part of the time designated will be deeply appreciated.  Controlling invasive plant species is beneficial to native plant and animal species.  A light breakfast will be available.

Please respond to Tom Zaleski at tzaleski@newark.de.us with the name of your group, and the number of individuals  who will be participating. Tom can also be reached by phone, (302) 561-5017.
